£2500 sized itch...
Re: £2500 sized itch...
At £2500 I'd struggle to recommned anything other than the Zenith Chronomaster Moonphase. So much so in fact, I done a write up on here saying I think this is the best value watch I've ever had. Well respected in house 36,000 El Primero movement, day, date, month, moonphase, chronograph.......Oh, and it's quite a looker too

I do like that Sinn might have to add that to my wish list
Hope they're not advertised like their Iraqi rifles are ... "Never fired, dropped once".

I am really liking the look of that watch. And I do want one blue piece ... have been toying with the Milgauss blue idea, but that's a sweet less expensive option that would leave enough to get an 2016 Oris 65 or even a Brashear.blowfish89 wrote:

The blue in your picture is darker than the real one I think.

For £2.5k a Zenith is a good choice a lot of watch for not much money and something a bit different compare to Omega, Rolex and the like. Also a Breitling navitimer 806 would be a recommendation.

Yes, I was sorely tempted by the El Prem, and there's one going on WF for a little over £1K.

If you can get a look at Rossler it may help you make your mind up. Some 4xx's they only 50 or so.

Well, the watch came today. Like I said, some will like it, some won't, but it has an undeniable heritage and class.
I don't think there's many of us here with a Chopard, so this goes with my "don't follow the crowd" motto. More photos when I get home.

A interesting piece, top notch. As you suggest, plenty of heritage behind the brand.
Presumably the lcd display is for the Chrono.

Re: £2500 sized itch...
It's multi-function:-
* Time
* Date
* Chrono
* Alarm
* UTC
* Time 1/2
* Alarm 1/2
* Settings
I'm at work, so not done more than take the watch out of the box and slap it on and play a little.
Rather nicely, I also have the original box/papers/travel bag, and even the boutique shopping bag - the full set, which is great for whenever I'd want to flip it (not that I'd want to, naturally).
Another (somewhat related) watch incoming tomorrow, it would have come today if WF hadn't fluffed up the dispatch.

I'm not a fan of LCD combination watches but I have to say that looks very well indeed.
Re: £2500 sized itch...
Not seen that Chopard model before, but I like it. Do you know what movement is in it?

Thanks Richard.
It's the same SuperQuartz used in Breitlings.
More information here.

Bit of a sad event yesterday. After playing with the functions, the bottom pusher decided to stop working so I'll have to get it repaired. But, the watch is truly stunning in person, especially in sunlight, so it's a keeper.
Still, there's something else inbound today, so let's see what the post man brings.
