Ah my eyes...

I'm sure the movements on some of these are amazing works of engineering. Most visually they do nothing for me and apart from the Nomos and Junghams are out of my price range. If I did have vast sums of money there would be a lot in the queue before these.

Interesting article. He introduces his piece by saying he's going a bit 'left field' with his list, but I'm not sure he's really achieved that?

I really like three on the list. The Nomos (shock!), Junghans and the Schofield - any Schofield would do me in fact. I admire the cleverness and skills behind most of the others. The Lange and Sohne, for me, is not one of their best offerings in the looks department, irrespective of what's behind the dial. I'm an Omega fan, but the ploprof leaves me cold and the one on the list I have tried on - the Corum - I really did not like at all. It looks fine in a blown up photo, but in reality, I found it dark (in the wrong way - obviously not making a lot of sense here), unattractive, cluttered and not particularly legible.

I love these articles when they say 'for anybody', the Nomos Is the only one I could afford at a stretch and I will admit does look quite nice but as for the rest even if I could afford them they will come no where near my wrist.

Agree with the general consensus, I would think if they are recommending watches for 'anyone', they would be slightly more affordable? And dare I say it wearable? You could put off a potential watch enthusiast with a list like this...

I thought it was a great list.
All amazing watches.

I tried the Lambda on at Salon QP, loved it. Also fell in love with the Lange at the show.
The Schofield is ptobably the only one on the list that doesn't float my boat.

If you can afford the Nomos, then you can also afford the Proplof, Sarpaneva, Schofield, Junghans or Corum. All are cheaper than the Lambda, some significantly so.

Have always had a soft spot for the Ploprof(one of my grails) and still do, would love to own one although even if I could afford it it's too much of a beast for my wrist.

I love the proplof as well, but it's huge! If money was no object this is the only watch on this list that I would own.

Interesting list but these watches are out of reach for most people. "Anyone" should be replaced with "those with big wallets"

That's at a stretch and only if I have no other expenses for a couple of months, as to the other watches on the list I just don't like them, even the Nomos is not something I would choose given it's cost over others out there. To me the Nomos is best of the bunch and that's about it.
