Samuel Johnson wrote "Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford" same applies to watches. When a man (or woman) is tired of watches.....

When you accidentally buy the same watch twice, having forgotten the first one.

When you have to rent a self-storage locker for the boxes.

When the security guard at the airport checks your hand luggage and asks you whether you are a professional watch dealer.

When your habit becomes an issue in the divorce proceedings.

...when you leave the car running on the drive at 6.45 am and go back in to change the one you put on 5 minutes ago for the one you realised you wanted to wear all along...

And yes, I have!

When you have to factor the weight of the ones you are taking and their case into holiday luggage calculations.

And

When part of the decision making process for your new house includes looking at whether there are enough plug sockets in the study for your watch winders.

And unfortunately I have done both today! :(
