^^^^probably has no vowels in it if it's a Welsh word.

My understanding is that tittles are diacritics as opposed to punctuation marks. Therefore I would take the position that there are four tittles and two full stops (periods for our US friends) in the original post.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 8:53 am The post contains the words: with, tittle, in and this.
That’s why I said four.
However, as it appears that a tittle can also be a punctuation mark, it is probably more correct to say that there are six.

Lethologica when it’s to do with ordinary words.
Lethonomia when it’s to do with names.

I had a strange feeling of foreboding when I first wrote tittle. You must check you have the number correct I said to myself.timor54 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 11:30 amMy understanding is that tittles are diacritics as opposed to punctuation marks. Perhaps I should have checked again!

Now this raises the question that has always intrigued me. Are Scrabble sets different for different languages? I suppose they must be, really.welshlad wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 6:13 pmPsst, rhythm. I imagine it would be difficult to play Scrabble in Hawaiian with a set of Polish letters. And then there is Māori, which doesn’t have B, C, D, G, L, or S to my knowledge.

Neepie or teuchter, I was born in Insch, grew up in Inverurie, so spik proper Doric! Much to SWMBOs disgust cos she’s a “ toonser” from Aberdeen.
