If the Masters has proven anything over the years it is that just about anyone in the field can come away with the jacket if the conditions are right and it happens to line up with the peak of their game. That is what makes the Masters great.

Yes, it's thrown up some surprise winners over the last few years, so I wouldn't be surprised to see none of the favourites winning this year. Jason Day was playing very well in the recent Matchplay and Will Zalatoris had a great debut in 2021.

Of course it'd be great to see Rory win it.

I've gone for Spieth. I don't think he will blow it around Amen Corner this time.

Just from my position of an armchair all sports fanatic, doesn't this have a little extra "spice" twixt LIV and PGA? I thought it was a bit petty that Greg Norman was snubbed for an invite when LIV associated golfers are still playing the tournament :?

I bet £20 on Spieth at 21 on betfair exchange. He's just gone 4 under now, so that's a happy start. Good scoring going on generally though. Rahm double bogeyed the first and ended up 7 under.

Edit. Terrible errors in middle of the round, finding water twice.

I've had bet on Chris Kirk to win outright. In addition, I've had a bet on any player scoring a full round of pars at 20/1. This covers all 4 rounds, so that's (88+88+50+50) 276 rounds of golf, the closest today is currently Tommy Fleetwood with 1 birdie and 1 bogey. They're a very inconsistent bunch !

I didn't pick yesterday and I don't think I can pick today. The weather will turn bad and it will come down to who can play in really tough conditions.

I tend to favor Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler but ask me tomorrow....

Well spieth seems to be just off the pace unfortunately. He could have been a lot closer.
