What's for dinner?
Re: What's for dinner?
As American as it gets...McDonald's Big Mac, tasty hot (hopefully) fries and a big ol' fountain Coke.

Re: What's for dinner?
As the good wife is out in London today, I have had to fend for myself.
As she had advised me I had an ever growing collection of pickles in the cupboard, I decided a salad was the way to go.
So tonight I had Bacon and Leek Quiche, with leafy salad, cheery toms and Lots of pickles.
Regards Steve

Re: What's for dinner?
it's sauce day here (warning, picture heavy)
50# of romas from the farmer's market.
a mess of onion/garlic/carrot/celery (mirepoix)
huge pile of basil
a handful of random mix of hot peppers from the garden for the hell of it.
end result: about 20 quarts of sauce (damn near filled my 23qt pot).
first time i've used the kitchenaid attachment to do the sauce. omg that's *SOOOO* much easier than skinning/deseeding by hand. i can't believe i didn't buy this years ago. my back is so much happier this afternoon than it usually is.

Jacket potato, an apple and a cup of mint tea - because I am not yet as thin as I would like to be!scooter wrote:Fish, chips and peas now that my wife has just got in.
