Spotted a black Tudor Pelagos on the wrist of a sales rep while in work today. Didn’t get chance to say anything watch related though as there was too many ‘normal’ folk in the room.

I went up to London today with my Girlfriend/Partner and her 8yo Grandson to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

Coming home we boarded a train at Kings Cross and were looking for an available four seat block (two pairs facing).

A gent occupying a single seat in a block of four, heard us discussing our search as we walked up the train, and moved across the aisle to free the seat/s he was in.

I noticed that he was wearing an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch on Bracelet.

We thanked him accordingly for moving seat but I didn't comment on his watch.

That's only what you would expect from a speedmaster owner. It's like the old AA badge on a car, marking a knight of the road. :D

Bracelet or leather strap version Greg?

Does he still wear it regularly, or has the madness in the preowned pricing of many PP mean it now primarily lives in a safe?

On a leather strap. He mainly wears a Cartier i believe. I would imagine its not worn very often but the condition was not box fresh (which is nice to see) i suspect he wears it less now that the world has changed. His son is an important PP customer.

Whilst having brunch in a local cafe earlier in the week I spotted an orange barrel MB2.

The wearer was sat about 15’ away and the colour of the barrel made the watch easy to identify.

At a regional meeting today for fellow head of departments.
Amongst the 25 attendees I spoke to one about their El Primero, skeleton dial with blue external bezel who i thought would be a watch nerd. They commented no one had ever noticed it before but when I showed them my JLC they just looked at me blankly as if they’d never heard of JLC before. Also noted a Tag Carrera but didn’t comment.
