'Homage to Catalonia' by George Orwell.

One of those books I've always thought I'll get round to reading, but never did, until now.

They Were Counted, by Miklós Bánffy.

So far, it reminds me Buddenbrooks, but without Mann's fancy style.

I'm working my way through the Pratchett Discworld novels. I haven't got very far - Small Gods is the current read.

I read Truckers, Diggers and Wings to my younger cousin during his hospital visits, years ago, and really enjoyed them.
