The independent record label Kscope has lots of great stuff.

This is one of the best songs I've heard all year:

@Watch21that’s like “What if Ghost did a laid back song?”. Then Spotify* changed over to the next song “The Mountain” and the guitar and start of the vocal are almost Nick Drake-esque. Intriguing.

I’ve spun Blood on the Tracks by Bob Dylan a few times recently after Mike France’s great piece in Loupe. One of my favorite Dylan albums. Whole YouTube playlist below so it won’t embed as a video.

Today, I'm listening to Porcupine Tree's 17 minute masterpiece "Anesthetize". This live version is even better than the studio version. Watch the best drummer in the world, Gavin Harrison, in action. Listen to the king of Dolby Atmos, Steven Wilson, on vocals.

Today I'm listening to "I Can Spin A Rainbow" by Amanda Palmer (Neil Gaiman's ex-wife) and Edward Ka-Spel.

I saw Edward Ka-Spel at a Fourth Dimension event several months ago. I'd never heard of him before, but he was my favourite from that evening. Very weird and spooky.

Today I'm listening to "Eurocentric" by Bill Mackenzie (from The Associates).

This version of "Wild Is The Wind" is breathtaking; far superior to Bowie's version.

Today I'm listening to "Infections of A Different Kind - Step 1" by Aurora. I first saw Aurora being interviewed at Google HQ near Kings Cross. I'd never heard of her before, but I was instantly blown away by her unique performance. She was also hilarious during her interview.

There is also a third mix, the jaw-dropping Dolby Atmos "In-Side Mix".

Gato Barbieri, a rather fine Argentine saxophonist, playing a famous Santana guitar track…popped up on my Cool Jazz station.
