Why are YouTube links .be? I have no idea how to get the correct link if it’s not directly from YouTube.

Usually because you're looking at the YouTube video on your mobile.
You get the correct link when you use a web browser.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs are two-thirds of a group called Saint Etienne. Saint Etienne made great music in their own right, but they have a second calling creating music compilations. The first compilation of theirs I’d heard was called The Trip (and included the third member of Saint Etienne, Sarah Cracknell). It dropped when I was in college working at a record store and had two distinct sides: a funky, R&B and disco-influenced side, and an English folk and psychedelia side. Really incredible track list, including a Michael Jackson rip-off
named Foster Sylvers, a deep Mamas and Papas cut, and some Fairport Convention to round things out.
Anyway, last year I found that Bob and Pete were back at it. The compilation I’ve been listening to in this weird, rainy, stressful time is called Occasional Rain. It’s a beautiful, moody collection of English folk and psychedelic that Is unfortunately not available to stream in its entirety (owing, I’d guess, to the complexities of streaming licensing for a litany of long-dead artists from successor firms of their original labels). But! I’d like to share a song I found and loved in that compilation by a band called Cressida. Buy it on vinyl if you’re up for taking a chance.

Forty years ago, Beat was released by King Crimson. What an album! Spinning it today.

Always Jazz FM in the afternoons. Actually usually in the mornings too. I’m clearly a creature of habit.
