(subtext Every Company Has a Story)
have done a 5hr podcast on the history of Rolex....

Go with me! I'm half way through and enjoying it hugely. The two presenters are so well read and researched, so interested in their material, bounce off of each other so effortlessly, and most importantly are wonderful storytellers. And they're not just talking about the dry corporate history of the company - they're discussing the whole history of wristwatches and the technical innovations. Which includes pretty much the whole of 20th century world political and economic history.
You know how CW (and others) say 'It's all about the product' ? Well, sometimes it's just about the story. Every current watchmaker has roots in this story.
I defy any watchie to not find something of interest here!
