Bought this instead of a watch

Post by Thegreyman »

This arrived today, I could have probably bought a watch for the same money but worth it I think.

Beautiful.

I like a solid wooden, covered and lockable watch case. Wow - yours looks the absolute business👍

CW watch count - enough to keep me very happy, but always room for more!

Would that have been a CW or Rolex that you could have bought, Patrick?

That's a cool box and fitting resting place for your collection.

Definitely worth it. I have a number of cheap boxes of various sizes but I realise when I see this that my watches are very prized and deserve a beautiful box

That's really lovely Patrick. A box like that will only serve to elevate your watch collection experience. Gorgeous box, fantastic watches.

That looks great. I think 5 up boxes are far better than 6 up. The spaces are a little wider, and bigger watches sit in there comfortably without clicking against their neighbours. And it's already full, so I guess you need another one now. :D

Lovely box. A beautiful box, wood or leather, is a great way to store watches and enhances the experience of choosing which one to wear.

A splendid box Patrick; off the shelf or bespoke?

Thanks Guy. Well it didn't cost Rolex money and not even CW money, not a new CW anyway. Maybe an older one on ebay!

Thanks and yes you are right, the collection already doesn't quite fit in the box, even more so after the phone call I got today of an incoming next week

Thanks Bjorn, this was my reasoning. I needed something more grand to store these lovely timepieces, rather than the rather cheap affairs that I was previously using!

Thank you Neil. It is a small company that produce bespoke watch boxes, jewellery boxes and even furniture. They are called Fish and Father and based in Sheffield. You can find them below and they also sell via Etsy.
