Too Good To Go

Post by JAFO »

Anyone have a go at this.
(UK website offering bargain bags of short dated food and takeaway items)

I'm picking up a Gregg's pack tonight. 2.95 for a decent amount of stuff.

Last time I got a baguette, a sandwich, a couple of sausage rolls and other pastries, a muffin and a cookie, all for £2.95.

The only other one I did was Tim Horton. I got a few large donuts and a box of small ones.

Both of these suppliers are always well rated.

I'm not often near many of the places.
There's a couple of fish and chips shops doing deals, but since we bought the air fryer we've stopped using chip shops. The air fryer is clearly the "healthy option". :D

I thought you had started on a Mounjaro-based weight loss programme, Dave. How is a bag of Gregg's food consistent with that? I'm not trying to be rude; I'm just interested to know whether dietary changes are needed when on Mounjaro, or whether you can still eat what you want.

It's only a bargain if you would have bought at full price. :-k. :-k

Moreover, if you're passing by your local Greggs then fine, but otherwise how much does it cost you to go to the shop, park the car etc. 45 pence per mile is the approved HMRC rate for expenses, although actual costs may be higher?

^^^ Re: Gregg's - it's only worth it if there's a sausage and bean melt involved!

That's what the family say. I'm on my first jab and I don't think it's kicked in yet. Also, there's a bit of "the condemned man ate a hearty meal" at the moment.

TBH, I am trying to cut down, and I think I've lost a couple of pounds this week. :D

Second jab tomorrow!

We have done it in the past using the local starbucks and a couple of other places. Love it.
