Darius Navy Defeats Greeks Off Lade- Darius' naval forces were able to defeat the Greek fleet off the island of Lade. With the sea under his control, Darius had no problems in seizing and sacking Miletus. Darius put down the revolt and took control of Ionia.

The year I graduated from The College of William & Mary, also the 300th anniversary of the founding of the College. In February of that year, I had the privilege of hearing the Prince of Wales speak on Charter Day. My graduation speaker in May was Bill Cosby....but I don’t talk about that too much anymore.
FUN FACT: Prince Charles was wearing the coolest academic robes I’ve ever seen.
