Far too wet for hillwalking today.

Should be easy enough to guess for those that know.

It’s wet and salty but not the Med or Morocco! Much closer to home. What are those strange structures?
The Beach Café is not Caribbean, it’s owned by an Albanian guy who does a cracking breakfast for £9.45 including unlimited coffee. :shock:
(It’s an annual pilgrimage (if I’m lucky).

As the thread is active again…

Time to bump my pic of the 7 April that no one had a guess at…

The books as part of the signage is somewhat of a clue!

@nbg
Knowing the places you tend to go hillwalking, and extrapolating a literary connexion, would a certain Potter (not Harry) be involved?

@Amor Vincit Omnia
I get your drift, but no, not in the Lake District.

A different country, in a small town renowned for it’s many bookshops.

^^^^^ going off the NCWOTD photo it looks like you are on the North Yorkshire coast between Filey and Robin Hoods bay. I won’t mention the actual town to allow others a guess.

I can’t tell you the park or gardens you are in though.

We used to visit every (almost) August in the 60s/70s when we were on an annual pilgrimage to see family. IIRC the nearby Peasholm Park boating lake hosted illuminated sea battles at dusk in those days. Favourite memory was parking on the seafront and sliding down the grassy cliffs in Uncle Bills Hessian sacks to the horror of my mother.
