The “Where’s My Watch?” Game
Re: The “Where’s My Watch?” Game
^^^ So is it the 2010 CW C4 Peregrine Chrono to commemorate the Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast? Are you at RAF Coningsby?

Re: The “Where’s My Watch?” Game
Correct aircraft but wrong location, I'm sorry, David (see below)
Spot on, the Riches, especially noting PA474 one of only two airworthy Lancasters, out of 7,377 built, that has been on the BBMF Flight for 50 years!

I was at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, visiting the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with my C4 Battle of Britain commemorating the BBMF.

There were two other notable, to CW and Forum members, aircraft that are part of the BBMF.
One is a MkI Hurricane in colours as used by 303 (Polish) Squadron; I own a commemorative Tribus watch related to 303 Squadron.

The other a Mk1 Spitfire P7350 the oldest airworthy Spitfire in the World, with Squadron Letters KL-B 'Kiwi III' - once having been piloted by Al Deere, notably connected to the C8 Al Deere TMB Limited Edition

^^^ Brilliant - thank you for the pics and for the information about the aircraft. I saw the BBMF over the West Mids Showground at the annual Shropshire agricutural county show in May. 3 passes at 1000ft and it was extraordinary to see and hear. It was humbling to learn the average age of the crew on the Lancaster during wartime was 21 years old.

Good luck! I haven't heard how the spotting has gone so far this year but when they are on, it is an impressive thing to see!

Gorgeous day on the Cape today. I took my later father-in-law’s S2000 for a drive. I’m stopping for lunch at a restaurant that’s been here for close to 80 years. It’s a bit of an institution that this point. Let’s see if the New Englanders can recognize where I am. There’s a clue in the last photo if you look closely.

Re: The “Where’s My Watch?” Game
I've no idea if it's the same place, but it reminds me of the look of Hope Springs, where Merryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones went to rekindle their marriage. I don't think you would be old enough to get in to see that film, Drew. No under 60s, I imagine.jkbarnes wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 4:42 pm Gorgeous day on the Cape today. Apparently Hope Springs was filmed in Connecticut.

Quite easy this, I think. Day trip today. Absolutely soaked. The rain today has been hideous
. Must add that it is a beautiful place, despite the rain
