Looks a lovely cathedral Guy. I think my daughter visited there when she was staying in St Albans with a friend a few years ago, also visited Harry Potter studios iirc!

What a great crime escapade!
I love the fact that it was such a low-tech, low-cost, low-on-the-criminal-mastermind-scale affair.

@Thegreyman How’s the view from your room, and have you seen Lucy yet? And have you heard any “usignoli”?

Yes well recognised folks, the Ponte Vecchio (meaning old bridge) in Florence (Firenze as it is called by the Italians).

The Room with a View references are a little wasted on a philistine like me Steve. Do you recommend it?

I would recommend the film, starring a young Helena Bonham-Carter. I'm not wild about Forster as a writer, but you might be interested if you enjoy the film.

I love Florence! :cuinlove:
