GMT complications

There are three main types:
  • Countries that use DST…or don’t, depending on your point of view
  • India, parts of Australia and a few other places that use 30 minute offsets
  • Geographical craziness, like Santiago de Compostela being in the same time zone as Berlin

Minidisc: Those really small watch dials, often vintage. By today's standards watches smaller than 36mm diameter.

Compact disc: A reasonably sized watch that most would consider a good fit.

Tape: Used to determine whether you are better suited to a compact disc or minidisc.

7 inch: A fairly standard measurement for anyone using tape. You can probably get away with both a compact disc and minidisc.

12 inch: Probably best discussed on a different type of forum. And 99 in 100 times wishful thinking.

Ward and Peace by Logo Tolstoy

A 580,000 word epic charting the highs and lows of the Forumov family as it contends with several changes of branding over a 20 year period. Initially set in London, following much upheaval the family ultimately has to live under the flags of two nations. Events in Parts I and II are set at 12 o’clock but, controversially, move to 9 o’clock in Part III. The work comprises 361 chapters, the number of forum threads on the topic.
