A private American bank you don’t even get to hear about unless you are rich, Ivy League or know the right people – preferably all three.

Harry Winston
An English lower league football manager in the early 1970s, well known for prowling the touchline in a sheepskin car coat and flat cap while smoking…and also for some fascinating business interests in Torremolinos.

Bramwell Brown

Heroic character from a Victorian schoolboy novel. He defeated the school bullies single-handed, saved the jolly old School House from burning down, and was last seen in adult life as a Captain, exhorting his troops to charge forward and die gloriously at Isandlwana.

We shall not see his like again.

Substandard: The measure by which all other dive watches are judged.

Subterfuge: The canny option of swapping out your cherished 'professional' dive watch for a cheap Chinese knock-off when in watch crime hotspots.

Sub-zero The expected stocking levels of any AD if you hope to leave with your dream diver the day of your visit.

This is just the tip of the iceberg where the sub prefix is concerned. I haven't got all day ya know!

But to be fair, so have Elliott Brown and the iWC toilet gag. I think we’re on “second time around”.

I’m afraid he didn’t survive the battle, so had no later life. You might be confusing him with his cousin Branston.
