I like any holiday :)

Somewhere with more than just the sea and beach,
e.g. Italian Lakes, Florence, France and the Chateaux and vineyards etc

Each year the Algarve and their golf courses.

I'm not a great fan of hot weather to be honest, dry weather and I'm happy out.

In my youth it was the beach and water-sports. In middle age, I was attracted to the lights and sounds of the big city. Today, it’s the tranquility of the open countryside be it the plains, lakes or mountains it’s where I’m at my happiest. :D

I like a holiday where I have some time relaxing by the pool with a little exercise/sporting activity thrown in. I'd get bored with that for more than a week though so I need a bit of a city break added onto the end.

So this year we are staying at a big Eurocamp down the coast from Barcelona and then staying in Barcelona before coming home.

It's quite cool here at the moment. :D

I had a 'was I back in Britain' moment the other day - opened the door to a cloudy sky, drizzle and a cooling wind, for a minute I thought I was back. Just for a minute it was nice!

I have the sea, the hinterland, the vineyard, Beautiful Countryside, wild elephants nearby, a very different culture, the junta, the rubbish....

Ah well, variety is the spice of life and all that!

This but with one major difference. I don’t get bored. Chuck in a little beach house with a well stocked fridge, and a supply of good books, I’m sorted.

I think I’ve realised, and it’s taken me many years, that I get bored after about a week on any type of holiday.

I enjoy every imaginable type of holiday: sailing, skiing, mountains, beach’s, cultural, cities; but I think I need multiple short breaks rather than longer holidays :D

It’s just a question of time and money (mostly money...)
