Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
My son's cell phone management is atrocious, which makes for an infuriating experience when upgrading to a knew phone and trying to sync important data.

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
My wife had two positive lateral flow tests yesterday. Apart from a headache, she feels fine!
She’s now isolating in our bedroom for seven days, whilst I’m banished to my son’s old room.
What a fffffaff.

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
I had 3 negative lateral flows at home but felt absolutely terrible. Wind on 2 days, ended up in a&e where I had another lateral flow..... negative.
Nurses came and took a pcr. When I asked why if id had 4 negatives, they said the lat flow tests are 50/50 and are basically to keep Boris and all the other liars (either side of the fence) happy. The only vaguely accurate tests are pcr. They ignore lat flow tests and do pcr as standard.
Suppose it keeps pointless useless companies (perhaps with certain rich people owning shares in them?) Making fortunes on inacurate pointless tests. And thats the main thing afterall

If Twitter closed down tomorrow (yes please) I can't help wondering where people would go to spew all that bile and hatred.

Can’t comment on posts here.
But why when someone criticises the system, they don’t give the whole story.
We don’t know if the PCR test was positive after all the negative lateral flow tests.
It would be interesting to know, then it could have backed up the curmudgeonly post
Not having a go just would like to know. Would have given more credence to the rant about Boris et al.

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
Brand names (often cosmetic companies) that advertise on the TV saying xx% percentage (normally 85%+) agree how great their product is, but often these brands have asked a low number of people, often under 100 to say how wonderful the product is. You could ask more people in a Covid booster queue at your local chemist.

Current collection incl Alpina, Citizen, Eterna, Oris, Rado, Seiko & Tag.

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
I live near the local community centre which serves as a base for the rugby and football teams that use the playing fields our house backs onto. During match days it can get busy with cars abandoned everywhere with some inconsiderate individuals even blocking access to people’s drive ways.
Normally it’s just a minor inconvenience, but a film crew has taken over the community centre car park for a week to film scenes for happy valley, the police TV drama starring Sarah Lancashire. Today was bad, but tomorrow is usually the busiest day, add the local church into the mix and I might just not open my curtains tomorrow and shut myself away.

Out walking the dog earlier I saw one cyclist go through a red light and another using his phone while riding.
I think I will get a bike as it seems the law doesn't apply to cyclists.
