The 2009 Wish List

Post by village »

I though it might be an idea to start another thread for 2009 so bits don't get tacked onto the 2008 list.

Personally ,at the moment,i am interested in:
Stowa Marine Original
Lum Tec possibly releasing a titanium with 7750 movmt in 2009 so that would be interesting
Another Ball watch...not sure which
Interested in seeing what occurs regards the C7 with 7750 in 2009
CWL Forum LE
Nomos interest me-may see where that leads
Vulcain Cricket circa 60'/70's if i can find one in good nick and the right price (haven't during the last 6 months!)

Probably more will peak my interest as the year rolls round...just have to see what happens..plus i am attempting to sell up and move so i suppose i should be conserving my pennies :(
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

I'll post mine, then recap later (as I did with the 2008 list) to see how well I've done 8)

- Stowa Flieger LE (#13/100) due in Feb/March
- Panerai 183 (Radiomir Black Seal) whenever I can get it out of lay-away, probably Spring 2009
- Maybe a CW LE if one materializes, and I like the final result

Plus one of the following:
- IWC 3717 or Portugese Chrono or Vintage Collection Inge
- Glashuette Original Sport Evolution or Senator Sixties

Plus many straps for the Panerais!

Well, for me....

Maybe the C7 forum ltd??

I was gonna get a TAG Carrera, but the C7 kinda takes care of that!!

I quite like the C13/15, so will have to see on that one?!!

I don't have much of a budget or mentality for buying expensive watches, unless it's really talking to me : ) kinda why I like CWL, so I'll see what comes out and take it from there!!

I will however, in contrast, spend a lot of money on good equipment for the sports I play, although for tennis I'm sponsored, but I'm a keen snooker player and play in leagues etc and have made 100 breaks, and weald a lovely £400 completely handmade and finished snooker cue, which will no doubt make some people gasp!!

I'm never going to change it though, so it's a lifetime purchase kinda thing!! ; )

Like Rick posted above, I will be looking around for some nice vintage stuff, as quite like wearing my old '69 Omega Geneve every so often, and it is nice wearing a 'small' watch occasionally, lol

The only watch i would love to own, would be a C7 Rapide automatic.

If such a creature comes to be, it'll be a sure purchase for me :)

For 2009 I would like the NIST F-1. It is an atomic cesium fountain clock, and could run for 20 million years without gaining or losing a second. It measures the light emitted by super-cooled cesium atoms as they fall through a microwave cavity. If that doesn't fit the budget, I will get a C6 and the forum LE.

I don't like the clasps, they don't match the case.
