SNOW.. GRRRR

Post by Macca »

Got on skype last night to my better half to discover that she had slid off the road in the snow and wrapped our car round a lamp post, not seen any pictures as I'm away in egypt but looking like a new bumper and bonnet job, thank god she didnt pop thhe radiator or smash the xenons! That would habve been expensive- still hello young drivers excess plus £100 vouluntary..

This is what it used to look like.. will post a photo of the crash if she gets one but I think the car was towed straight to a body shop in lincoln today..

(Cant upload a picture as the board quota has apparently been reached?)

Oh yeah, probably should have mentioned that lol, it was at low speed, 10mph maybe, its just folded everything in.. thos posts are not very forgiving.. of course the main this is that the love of my life will survive this ordeal... and so will the mrs :-)

Incidentally Androo she was wearing the watch I bought from you with her red boots when she crashed, I hope its not cursed in any way? She loves the colour so it looks like I have lost that one.. have to say it looks good one her though!

Be really grateful it wasn't a higher speed. Years ago two of my friends crashed a car into a lamp post at speed. They would probably have been okay but for the fact that the post folded & dropped straight onto the car killing both of them :(

Getting replacement bits for a car is easier.....

oh hell, that sounds awful- very sorry for your friends.. granted replacing bits is easier- I was annoyed because I had lined up a new watch purchase which will not happen now (sorry forum member) obviously I checked she was ok first, she was just unlucky and caught in very sudden snowfall.

Also.. I would have preferred the curse free model!

Its purely cosmetic, nothing major broke, its just caved in the bonnet and the bumper is spilt.. just a big pain in the backside, thanks all for your kind responses, flipping weather, I preferred it when on xmas day it was 14 degrees and sunny all day at my mums in skegness!

Glad Mrs Macca is OK...... other than the shame of damaging an Alfa Romeo.
