And why do they all sit so awkwardly on the sofa?

Possibly because they just don't fit very well.

:D :D :D :D :D

I don’t know if you remember but some months back I was completely disheartened to be turned down for rehoming a rescue greyhound because I told the kennel owners about my mental health problems. Their assumption (they didn’t even meet me or talk to me on the phone) was that I would be unstable and irresponsible.

Recently I discovered another rescue centre far closer to home, and sent them an email this week. The response couldn’t have been more different. I was invited out this morning to join a pack walk, talked greyhounds over coffee and donuts, then had a dog lead put in my hand - ‘take a wander and see how you get along’.... Turned out by chance that this was the dog I had spotted on the website and was interested to meet! Everything seemed to fall into place. The dog is relatively small for a greyhound which suits me. He’s’a character’ and ‘a live wire’ though I’m told he’ll settle down once he’s home. He settled with me after a wee while and was just golden.

I’ll be picking him up next week once I’ve bought some kit!

So - I need a good name - any suggestions???

That's totally awesome Lindsey and such karma that he's the one you'd spotted, but that he came to you.

As to a name? Surely he's got one already; why change it?

Brilliant news, Lindsey! Congratulations.

If he needs a new name, then maybe those white toes can inspire something. :)

Well - his racing name was Abadan Dubh!
He hasn’t been given another name yet so it’s up to me. :D

A lovely name. I do like a number of ‘cosmic’ sounding names like Star, Nova, Storm. But I think I’m heading for a more down to Earth. I’ll let you know once I’ve definitely made a decision!
