Thanks for sharing a picture of Neo at his most relaxed. He must have been a real character. They bring so much joy to our lives! You were blessed to have Neo in your life & I am sure that he felt the same way. So sorry that you had to say goodbye.

@missF

I’m so sorry, Lindsey. In the short period that you walked together, you gave Neo a fantastic time and he reciprocated in spades.

The thing about greyhounds (apart from their massive heart) is the shapes they make in the world. Mostly ears and snoots. The rest is all angles and elbows. Today my brain is finding Neo shapes everywhere I look. Like it's playing greyhound Tetris with the empty empty spaces in the house.

An extra squeeze and some nice treats for your SOC (significant other creature) please x

Lindsey;

All pets are always special to their owners, but Greyhounds have that little bit of mystique about them that make them so loveable; as we both well know.

There will no doubt be a certain emptiness in your life, but hopefully not in your heart, with his passing. [-o< [-o<

Stay strong.

@missF . Truly amazing creatures. I've always had a long dog of some variety and have been amazed by their ability to love freely (except cats and squirrels )and bring so much joy.

Neo sounds like an amazing friend, I hope you feel better soon.
Im sure you have many wonderful memories to reminisce.

I have a 13 year old whippet lurcher who I adore but she is suddenly showing her age, I'm just trying to enjoy her as much as possible while I still can. What else can we do?

All the best

Pat

Sorry to read of the loss of your beloved dog, Lindsey. The bond between a human and a dog, or cat, can be very special indeed. You will have both enriched each other's lives immeasurably. Delight in that thought, things will get easier with the passing of time.

I am sorry to hear about Neo Lindsey. It is an awesome responsibility we take on when we get a pet. It comes very much to the fore at the end. Take some solace in knowing you did right keeping Neo's needs and comfort above your own. Also know that they never really go away. They are always around lurking in our hearts and minds.

As I have stated before, remember that the pain we feel is a reflection of the bond we have with them.

Lindsey, That's such sad news about your Neo.

He gave me plenty of smiles when seeing his very awkward looking positions in your photos so he must be a great loss of you.

I'm sure he has left you with many great memories that will be with you for years to come.

He was a really nice soul, and he loved nice people. So I shared a bit of that here because it's good to share the good stuff :)
