Anyway, she is never far from our thoughts and like yourself we were blessed to have had her in our lives. I hope you perk up soon. I know it's early days but in the longer term will you get another pup? Not that you can ever replace a dog you lose, just create new and different memories with a completely different character.
Thanks you for the nice note Pat.

What a great looking Springer! Penny looked like a very happy girl indeed.

Riley was the last of 4 pets that spanned about 24 years. It will take some time for my wife and I to reacclimate. We aren't going to rush into anything as we want it to feel more organic than that. We will know when the time is right to bring in another 4 legged friend.

@rkovars . Yes that sounds like the right and sensible decision. With the two surviving girls now both 12 I am dreading going through it all again. I guess it's not a lot of pain for the many years of love and happiness they have given me and my family. I think when they are all gone I will probably just stick with one dog but not immediately. Like you said, it needs to be organic.
Thanks
Pat

Hopefully bringing a smile to anyone who needs it, my dog Jake inspecting the SH21 from the Loupe that just arrived. Everything seems to be in order

doing PT for her partially torn CCL (similar to ACL in humans). time for "laser treatment." can't believe she didn't paw the doggles off her face.

yup, i'm sure it does. we're doing physical manipulation, obstacle courses, stretching, massage, ultrasound and laser, andassisi loops. much of that we do at home as well (not the laser).

but no, no water treadmill. she also has heart issues (DCM) and they feel like it would put too much stress on her heart.

plus, she's a big wimp and hates getting wet. if it's drizzling outside, she'll look at me like, "nah, i can hold it. all night if i have to."
