My son brought home a cup of raisins from school and left them sitting around. Our dog decided to eat them. Two nights in the animal hospital later (and one C65 Chronograph’s equivalent of a bill) and Mabel’s back at the house, apparently no worse for wear.

Oh poor you....
I had a horror experience years ago of giving my flatmate’s dog a few raisins, and not realising til she got home that they’re poisonous... Flatmate was outraged, dog was fine and didn’t need vet. Dog got run over the next day
Hope your dog’s fully well again

New rescue coming!

A Pomeranian/ Sheltie mix as yet unnamed. We will put together a list of names and then let the personality of the dog help us decide.

She is coming from Mexico and has been crated for over a year at the vet where she was abandoned due to costs involved with an ulcerated eye that has been removed. We should have her in about 3 weeks.

She’s had a horrible time... she’ll be counting her lucky stars to have found such a loving home, complete with pack! :D

Neo got off the lead today for a quick burst. Four zooms around me then he came back to me and let me put the lead back on  Very sore as a result but the light’s back in his eyes and he had some great physio playing with his toys this afternoon. Felt like progress for the first time today :D

You never actually have to say it, do you? They’re just waiting for you to twitch a single muscle fibre in the direction of the door!

Meet Patch. Our newest rescue.

Patch arrived at 4;30 am yesterday from Mexico. She is 3 years old and spent most of her life crated. Patch has 1 eye and is extremely even tempered. She is adjusting nicely with her new sisters who have already (mostly )accepted her. She is a 17 lb. Sheltie/Pomeranian mix.

At Vets just before leaving Mexico.
