Re: Shaving by post
It will come down to which handle you prefer as the blades are exactly the same and are interchangeable between handles. So even if you don't like it, you will have 4 new blades for your cornerstone for only a fiver!

Re: Shaving by post
Following Martin's post above, I've ordered some of these to try.Martin wrote:I have been using Clean Shaven (UK company) for over a year. THey do not operate a subscription type purchase, just buy as and when you prefer. I am very pleased with the blades. Similarly, I have no connection with them.
Are the Clean Shaven and Cornerstone replacements for Gillette Fusion? (Maybe with better actual blades)
Clean Shaven are a better price than Cornerstone
The handle mounting looks the same fixing.
I'll see how Clean Shaven matches up to King of Shaves Hyperglide. (They'll need to be good!)
There's always time for one more.

Shaving by post
I have just ordered blades & a new handle that will fit a cornerstone blade for £10 , If you want more Shave heads that fit either a Cornerstone or The Bearded Colonel Handle https://beardedcolonel.co.uk/?invite=andrew6175 use the code and then cancel more blades for a cheaper price i would say Made by the same company.
Thanks to Paw for the info as above

The Clean Shaven blades are more like Gilette's Mach 3 Turbo. I find them at least as good as Gilette but at a fraction of the price. I did try the King of Shaves razor but could not get on with the body design.Paul Drawmer wrote:Following Martin's post above, I've ordered some of these to try.Martin wrote:I have been using Clean Shaven (UK company) for over a year. Shaving by post
Just ordered a handle and blades from a company called Boldking. Blade cartridge quite different and the trial price is only £2 for a handle, blade and suction cup holder. However you have £1.50 postage as well unless you order the post shave balm or extra blades as once over £5.85!? It is free postage.
The code below will get you a whopping £1 off the trial price and so covers your postage basically.

I will report back once they arrive and I have tried them

Cornerstone long term real world review (IMHO) compared to my old Mach 3 fusion (I think)
Not as sharp
Not as close
Does not get the hairs out when swooshed around in the water after each cut
Less grip on handle
Doesn't have the shaping blade on the top

Re: Shaving by post
I started using a monthly Subscription service about a year ago - The Personal Barber http://thepersonalbarber.com/ - after using a Gillette DE Safety Razor for a couple of years. What I like about the PB is you can opt out of a month - or more - whenever you feel like it. The boxes are always good value and give you a good selection of products every month. Problem is I have now got a small collection of DE Razors which is getting larger by the month, ditto for Brushes and shaving creams/soaps!

Re: Shaving by post
I checked out The Personal Barber site, seems expensive to me.
Interesting, they recommend the annual plan for optimum saving. Yet the annual figure is the same as monthly x 12. Not sure I would spend £24.95 on shaving products per month every month anyway.
Interesting thread though, I've enjoyed the comments
