Aaaw, goochy goo, boo boo boo! Brings back memories of my only son 35 years ago. He hasn't changed much, I still don't know what he's on about half the time, but not so many nappys these days.Clarky wrote:Had to take the day off work because the Mrs is very under the weather (not a reason to be cheerful btw) but I get to spend all day with my baby son ( he is 12 weeks old) and we have had lots of smiles and baby conversations ( gooose and gars and general happy baby noises). Not so keen on the amount of nappy changes but hay, I guess that comes with the territory

Nice , where are you going in Cyprus, been there a few times. I love the Greek Cypriot people, so friendly. Not yet been to the north yet though.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:Reserved my seat on the plane to Cyprus for Christmas and New Year. Booking airport hotel and parking tomorrow.

A good day indeed, I hope you enjoyed the Laphroaig Select !Paul Drawmer wrote:Great day yesterday. My birthday extended by a visit from No1 son and family. Our 3yo Granddaughter rushing in and saying to me very quietly:
"Grandpa, we've got a surprise for you!"
She had decided that I was having a birthday party, and NO party is complete without balloons, which she brought out of the car.
She knew I'd love the 'My Little Pony' one.
My son also had some idea that I'd like a bottle of Laphroaig Select, and he was quite correct!
Belated Happy Birthday Paul

Re: Reasons to be cheerful.......part??
Excellent. Went to Paphos 30 years ago when it was a quite a small town. When I stayed in a villa in Latchi three years ago and spent a couple of days in Paphos I didn't recognise it, so much bigger. I love the Aphrodite's Rock area 'Petra tou Romiou' probably one of the most picturesque bits of coastline I have ever seen.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:Paphos...been to the hotel before. had a hard day today and struggled to get out the house. eventually made it out this afternoon for a long walk to clear my head.. saw my friend''s light on as i passed and called in - just as she was taking a tray of cinnamon buns out the oven! i'm grateful for good friends and good timing!!
