I think it’s time to share the raffle with the wider community, please feel to do so. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Forums, the greater the reach the better for the charity. Last year the raffle attracted additional funding because it had been spotted on a social media group which I hadn’t posted to.

I have mentioned the raffle in a current thread about the Bel Canto on The Watch Forum. I wasn't sure a link would be acceptable to the current owners. I am sure it will generate interest to the CW owners and others there. I have dabbled!

I was asked elsewhere, why a raffle?

In the past the League of Friends has funded a Circadian System for the Royal Berkshire Hospital Intensive Care Unit. It’s a ‘sky view’ screen placed above the patient’s bed that normalises an invasive environment enabling patients to recognise night from day, to allow rest and sleep to be developed into normal patterns to reduce the risk of hallucinations which can lead to premature death. Needles to say it cost a lot of money.


The Circadian system is saving lives and is just one example of where your generosity and support can lead. Together we can make a difference and that, for me, is what makes this group special. Please keep sharing, giving and let’s celebrate together what we can achieve.


Not forgetting, this raffle would not have been possible without CW providing the opportunity to acquire the Bel Canto.
