My rides recently have been on Shank's Pony.
Today around the Great Orme, Llandudno.
Oh, nearly forgot, obligatory watch shot.

Mine too Dave.
It's the main drive leading out of the Longleat Estate towards Horningsham.
About the only stretch of flat near me.

^^ Good to see you still out and about, scooter. Makes me feel a bit guilty... Maybe tomorrow.

It would be about time.
My Polymyalgia has been giving me some gip recently and I'm waiting to hear from the Doc this afternoon.

Good luck with doc. My weather forecast for tomorrow looks good - although my last 3 rides I’ve got soaked - so no excuses.

Thanks downer.
I can put up with the pain but am struggling to grip my left handlebar at the moment.
I've managed to dodge the rain since May but appreciate that you got clobbered a couple of times recently.
That would have put me on the back foot for a bit.

Beautiful day for a ride today, so I took the opportunity for my regular 30 mile route. Nothing much new to see but I did take one from a canal bridge...

^^^no scoffing here. That's a very respectable average speed and a pretty swift vmax too
The max heart rate is quite high too (if accurate) compared to the recommended 220 less your age but I think that's only warning against long sustained levels of that sort of effort.

Interesting heart-beat correlation Patrick, which I've not heard of before.
When I'm working on the cross-trainer in the gym, I pace myself to keep mine below 160, usually 145-155bpm. (220 - 62 = 158)
