Looks like a most enjoyable trip in lovely weather. Love the Honda, very funky indeed. I miss how beautiful and quaint many English villages are. Hope to get home in the summer of this year and drive around the glorious English countryside.

Looks a brilliant ride.

Yesterday was spent on The SuperCub.

It is not Horseshoe, but it is in the same area - about 20 miles south. This one is the B4391 between the Tanat Valley and Bala. :thumbup:

I imagine you've been over the Horseshoe pass too? I have a friend who lives near the south part of the pass, and I've seen all the bikes parked up outside the Ponderosa cafe :lol:

I have been over there a few times, although these days it is limited to 40mph (with good reason, due to eejit bikers), so a little less popular. Also the Ponderosa is an ex-cafe...https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/202 ... e-closure/

Anyway, yesterday's lunch was Bison. :) https://rhug.co.uk/. It's a hard life, being retired. :D

The 122 mile ride

Sherborne Abbey

scooter

Nearly 30 years ago, I used to live right next to Sherborne Abbey, literally across the lane from it, much closer than your bike is in the picture. It was beautiful, but the bells were deafening!

It looks like yet another beautiful ride / day out, scooter.

@welshlad

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Did you perchance sing there?

@scooter No, I didn't do any singing back in those days. I was too busy commuting daily to/from Southampton, driving across Cranborne Chase via Zig Zag Hill. That was fun!

@welshlad

That's Interesting. My son lives in Gillingham, Dorset and travels daily to Verwood. Needless to say he goes across Cranborne Chase via Zig Zag Hill. So far he has lost two cars to deer strikes.

@scooter

Yikes! I don't remember having any issues with deer. Maybe there were fewer of them around there 30 years ago?

Yesterday I went out for a 50 mile ride on The Monkey pausing for a few moments at Gasper.
