Beautiful morning for a quick ride- only the second time this year so taking it easy, concentrating on lines and observation. Also a chance to try out the new end can bought while on offer over the winter. Rained last night so everything is just popping with colour.

Back when your GS was new, and I was in my early 20s, it was my heart's desire to own one.

The trouble was I finished up with a Yamaha DT175. .

A few years, and one divorce, later I got a larger Suzuki, albeit a 650 Katana.

Good story Guy, at least you got there in the end!.
I was in my early 20's too (23 to be exact) and I bought an identical one brand new- my first ever new bike. Not this one which I bought in boxes about 10 years ago and restored. With my then girlfriend and now wife we travelled all over on ithe first one: to the south of France, to our first foreign motorcycle grand prix races and even to the Isle of Man (where else?) on our honeymoon. Eventually I was seduced by the "newer is faster, lighter, better handling blah blah blah" and like most at that age it was sold to buy the next bike. Perhaps because of the stage of our lives it represented it was the one bike I always wished I'd kept. Fast forward 30 years or so and with a bit of disposable income I managed to buy it before prices went too mad. LOT'S of time and money later and I got it to how it is now
Just a shame Mrs PL doesn't go on the back any more.
