Great thread! I broke my bike a couple of months ago and put off replacing it for too long. I just got a new one so hope to be joining this thread soon. It has been for a ride around the neighborhood but that wasn’t photo worthy.

That's the factory fit saddle and so far it's much better than my old one. It's quite ergonomic with padding where needed and large channel down the middle. Combined with proper crclying shorts (biult into baggies not lycra!) its quite comforatable. I have found over padded saddles are actually worse then these.

Interesting. I bought a padded saddle because I thought the standard one looked as uncomfortable as 'eck, yet the padded one is rubbish! Maybe I should try the standard.

Thanks James.

Did some road miles this week then headed to the trails for the first proper ride of both 2019 and the new bike. Having not seen the trails in almost two years (and 20 odd pounds) it was hard!

It was bound to happen. Spent some time last night getting the suspension set up better. The bike was feeling great, I pushed hard and........

Oops, hope that's not too painful. Looks like you have some great places to go riding over there.

Not too bad this morning, it’s a good thing I don’t have to wear long sleeve shirts!

We don’t have a huge amount but then ones we have a decent. We’re planning some weekend rides on other parts of the island as the main area I ride can get repetitive.

The picture is my elbow and forearm, my knee got it as well but not as bad.

The bike’s fine thankfully, the fall did however break the ratchet on my shoe.

No ride today but she got a wash, so all ready for next week.

Image

Last three weeks:
15 rides
147 miles (mostly trails)
9100 ft elevation gain.
2 falls
Lots of plasters
One bottle of Bounce stain remover and a (temporarily) displeased wife.

-9.4lbs (only 25.4 to go).

Out and about in the Great British countryside this afternoon (somewhere close to Cholmondeley). I found a bit of blue sky:
