Pics from the walkers
Re: Pics from the walkers
An early morning outing to burn off yesterdays Indian takeaway we had for Christmas dinner. We had snow overnight but sadly the fog has again descended so I wasn’t able to take any snowy landscape vistas.
And before you ask, it was as cold as it looks.

Perfect afternoon, so I wandered down to the Sunset Point of Cyprus.

Is that around the Pathos area of Cyprus Steve?
The reason I ask is that a few years ago I was on holiday there. We took a boat trip which returned around sunset and it seems that newly wed couples get dressed up in their wedding outfits and head down to the coast to get perfect sunset backdrops to their wedding photos. We must have seen about half a dozen couples as we returned to the harbour.

Re: Pics from the walkers
Paphos was a European Capital of Culture in 2017, so there are a lot of works of art dotted around. I love these two little bronzes by local artist Yiota Ioannidou. “The Little Fisherman” on the seafront pays homage to the town’s fishing industry, and “Sol Alter” near the castle to the goddess Aphrodite.

I’m not an arty person, a lot of the time I just don’t get it but Sol has really caught my attention, just watched a clip on the making, absolutely fascinating, took a year to make. It’s amazing what you learn here
