^^^^ Thanks it was a shame we had to turn back but I’m aiming to return at some point to complete the walk.

A cold walk at the Donna Nook Nature Reserve, where grey seals return, annually, to give birth to their pups.

Went about for just under 10 miles this morning. The weather when I set off was quite misty and I thought it would stop me taking any decent photos. However as JAFO pointed out in the non curmudgeon thread, this makes the photos of the same scenery quite different. The houses dont belong to anyone I know but I found them quirky and interesting.

The statue of the angel of the north was quite difficult to take as it’s hidden behind a hedge and impossible to see in summer. It was one of several mini replicas that Anthony Gormley made while producing the full size version. It’s exactly like the real thing but only about 6 foot tall.

One day a week I work from home. Instead of doing the 40 minute drive I still set my alarm for the normal time, but do a 40 minute virtual commute instead.

Todays walk was a crisp frosty winter morning, with mist still lingering in The Valley as the sun slowly started to come up.

Another inversion over Windermere today. Once through the cloud the views were spectacular.

I only look at a few threads these days, due to time constraints mainly, but I always check this one out. It inspired me to take a walk and post these pics:

Walking from my place down to a local marina. The view is the San Francisco Bay with the Richmond/San Rafael bridge in the background (commuter ferry in front of the bridge, along with Red Rock Island):
IMG_0398.jpeg
View of the bridge once I'm at the marina. Has to be the ugliest bridge in the Bay Area, but believe it or not, one of the newest, built in March 1953. The Golden Gate Bridge, which looks far more modern, was actually built in January 1933.
IMG_0394.jpeg
Finally, a view of my neighborhood in the hills:

It’s been quite thick fog all weekend here and looks like it’s set in for the day again.

Not much scenery to capture while out and about but this wood shrouded in the mist looks like it’s home to some sort of mythical creature.
