Party Like it is 1999

Post by ianblyth »

Well it was 1999 but this post puts me on 2000. :prost:

I want to be promoted to forum level Galatic Supreme Commander in Charge of Coats.

It has been fun (mainly). And I have no intention of leaving to go on the Cheap Taiwanese and Estonian Watch Forum. I learned a lot and hopefully contributed back some of what I have learned. And I have managed to get a whole bunch of watches that I did not have before I joined. 8) And I am not doing a State of the Collection. My camera does not have enough memory.

Thanks to all that I have engaged with, met and even had a drink with. To the next 2000. 8)

Congratulations Ian.
2000 of anything is a milestone/millstone.

Your devotion to an empty wallet is almost unique in the anals of CWF and your contusion from chemical graduist at the univercity if Sterling to mega-blast cheiftain...

... it seems that the speelchecker has packed up...

Not bad, keep going.

...and thanks for the lift home after the last GTG.

Well done. Look forward to seeing you at the GTG and I may even let you buy me a drink and sell me some watches to celebrate your 2000th post.

Ah come on, Ian, not even a group shot of the CWLs? Or a "good bye" to those you've let go? "Christopher Wards that I have known and loved..."?

You're a great presence on here (and a master of Google as well as making posts which include relevant links and sources) and I love having you around. I always look forward to your presence at the GTGs.

Congratulations my friend!

Since coming to the inside of "The Asylum" you have done well and responded in an excellent fashion to your meds.

I am proud of you.

You have been a great and thoughful contributor. We are happy to have you here.

PS. I gave up group shots of the CWL watches at 20...I'm guessing you did too. :D

Congratulations on reaching the 2k Ian. I notice the "numbers in pictures game" stain on your character is gradually diminishing (you are now at 5.25% of posts). Keep going and eventually it will become unimportant!

(to save you looking, my 'stain' is now down to 4.3% of posts)...

Seriously though, I appreciate your posts - always informative and well-balanced. Cheers

Congratulations! I wonder how many characters are contained in 2000 posts? That could be todays conundrum for you!

Heres to the next 2000! :D

Well done Ian on the 2000th post, In the short time that I have been around here you have educated me on a few interesting things, and where would we all be without your cunning general interent, and ebay search skills?

I don't mind taking that particular CW off your hands that we were talking about the other night, especially if it helps you to photgraph your CW collection without running out of memory in your camera

Keep up the good work and all the best for the next 2000 posts :)

I had forgotten Ian's speedposting record attempt! :D

Ian, you're a real boost to the Forum (and CW's bank balance) I'm looking forward to the next 2k posts.
