Other Wrist Adornment of the Day

Post by iain »

I tend to always wear something on the opposite wrist to my watch as I’m sure many others do as well. It could be jewellery, a bracelet, a fitness tracker, a festival wristband, or even a bit of string. Let’s see what we are all wearing on the opposite side to our watch.

Here’s mine. My wife bought me a thin silver bracelet with a hammered finish that is hand made in Bali as a 20th wedding gift. Here’s a photo as well as my Bailey bracelet I brought out with me. The Bailey is the naked one, my one loaded with beads I left at home for this trip but I’ll post photos later if this thread is still going.

Explain a Bailey bracelet and beads to me.

I don’t wear anything in my other wrist. I used to wear a fitness tracker but tired of that. I’m not opposed to wearing anything on my wrist. I just haven’t found something that speaks to me.

My father has taken to wearing a gold bracelet that had been my grandfather’s. I still can’t get used to that (as in it seems out of place for him) because my dad was never a jewelry guy, except for a wedding band and his class ring on special occasions.

I wear a silver and gold bracelet made by Darin Bill a Navajo artist known for his cuff jewelry. I have had this one for more than 20 years. Feels weird to not have it on now.

Haven’t worn any jewellery for around 20yrs, wore plenty in my youth. In the summer months I occasionally wear this malachite bracelet given to me by my mum. I keep thinking it would pair perfectly with the Formex Essence malachite dial which is a gorgeous watch.

Another Turkish holiday purchase. Actually predates my time on the forum. It has been a motto of mine for many years.

That Formex and the Glashutte are very nice indeed! 👍

I just wear these bloodstone beads on my right wrist.

You’re welcome. I mostly wear the torc these days, and the engraved one has an occasional outing. I think I once went about three years and the only time I ever took the torc off was in airport security!

@jkbarnes sorry Drew, only just catching up and I see Steve has already shared the link to the Bailey bracelets.

They are made in Sheffield and really are excellent quality but not cheap. The customer service from what is effectively a husband and wife team is also top notch.
