Off to Maine for a week!

Post by jkbarnes »

With this horrid school year over, it’s time to focus on some R&R. The Mrs. and I are off to Maine for a week. We’ll be exploring Portland and the coast and visiting with some of my wife’s college friends.

I’m anticipating some lovely scenery and will update this thread with photos, if there are any worth sharing.

Here we are waiting to board.

My travel partner. She’s dressed much nicer I.

In fact, I look like a schlub.

After the airport chaos here in the UK, that’s one helluva quiet departure lounge.

Are you sure your flight is going ahead

And you are right, your wife looks very smart. You, not so much :D

Have a great time.

Love Portland. We really enjoyed Eventide, Oxbow Brewery, Duckfat Frites Shack (next door to Oxbow), and Hardshore Gin distillery. Enjoy!

With that dress Mrs JKB should be going to Italy! Amalfi or Portofino. You both look very relaxed and ready for some quality time, which I hope you enjoy!

Ugh…two little kids next to me, mom with two more, including a toddler behind me. Thank god it’s a short flight. At least the Mrs. and I have aisle seats across from each other, offering plenty of leg room.

This is the perfect comment, as the Amalfi coast is her favorite place in Italy! We were commenting in the airport about getting dressed to the nines the next time we travel overseas.

I’ll need a GMT for that trip!

This is why we always fly mid-week!

Just be thankful you didn’t get Mr and Mrs Chicken-McNugget and the Kids from the Dungeon Dimensions. Or Cruiserdad and his family!

I’m off to Amalfi on Friday, staying in Sorrento. But will be visiting Portofino/Pompeii/Vesuvius etc.

Not our first trip as it’s an amazingly beautiful place.

She is welcome to join us
