Thank you all for your messages. The numbers 4 and 70 will be indelibly inked in my brain from now on. Bang on four minutes for the spacing of contractions, with each one lasting pretty much spot on 70 seconds heralded the beginning of labour. Almost as good as an atomic clock. Perhaps there is a movement complication in there somewhere.
