Bum and back warmers are an essential option with leather seats in the winter.

I can also heartily recommend air conditioned seats if you can get them. Saves sticky back syndrome with the leather in Summer.

My MINI is BACK :) :) :)
Running it in again obviously, seems much smoother and quieter.
They also replaced the oil pump chain as it was gone very slack.

Seconded.

Rule one of 'running in' - drive it like you stole it!

Seriously, IMHO, variation is the key. Revs are fine on a light load. Enjoy and good luck.

Thanks Guy :)
Very true mate, use the gears, no load, keeping it under 3000 rpm for half the running in period etc.

Our new car is due in three weeks: the dealership ( three hours away) had offered to deliver it. I said that I would collect it. We will come home the long way round (FIVE hours) because I don't want to drive the new one over the (very steep) mountain pass but instead the rather gentler Northern route. The only good thing is, the journey home will knock up the first 350kms of the (self imposed) 1,000 with a 3K rev limit.

Very good plan Steve ;)
One of my friends is of the drive it like you stole it idea from new.
I am the total opposite.
I also won't engage sport mode till fully run in.
