Obviously new car, salesman in the car etc.....but loads of torque, quite responsive and handles very very well.

above is my Mini, a "Baker Street". it's a diesel, used for teaching learners. It's a great little car, and ticks all the boxes as a second car/ car for couples. Very cheap to run...no tax, 60+ mpg, and great stereo system. Done 10500 miles in it since October, and all of them a pleasure.

Is it the 3 or 4 cyl diesel?

4 cylinder I think, it's a 90 hp 1600 cc. I suspect that the new mini due out this month has the 3 cylinder engine....but I maybe wrong. It is quiet, and although the 0-60 time of a quoted 11.4 is about right it feels faster. but i have an MX5 that feels faster still :D

Yeah, Ferg tried the n new 3c diesel and it was smooth and refined.

Thanks.....it really is a nice car, but for the money they cost they should be! I can see me having this one for many years.....my 14.11 year old daughter, and 13.1 year old son already want it as a "first" car ! I am keeping a "review"/"Blog" on this car in the Wessex car club review section should anyone be interested in this car or my experience of owning a Mini.
