It’s about 6 weeks away so I am hoping to see what time everyone is planning to get to Manchester and whether you wanted food and/or drinks before or after the show.

Let me know your thinking and what your preferences are and I can look to suggest somewhere to meet up. I doubt we’ll find anywhere suitable for showing off a watch collection in the city centre on a Saturday, so I was only planning to bring the watch I’ll be wearing.

I’ll be travelling by train to avoid the hassle of parking and it will also allow me to have a drink.

Once I know who is coming I’ll take discussions on our meeting arrangements to private messages but just posting here to give anyone who’s not spoken up the chance to join in the fun.
A suggestion if you want to have some time to sit down and have a watch-show-off in private.

Spaces have rentable meeting rooms on Deansgate and Oxford Street from £39 an hour (I’ve not looked at the full tarrif), but split between a few of you may be suitable for that. Then safely pack everything up and go for a drink or two.

I don't have any firm plans yet, but I expect to travel there by train, and it would be good to meet up around lunchtime for food, drink & chat before going into the show at 2.30pm.

I'm not sure about bringing several watches with me, as it's a bit of a security headache, especially walking around a crowded show. Like Iain, I'll probably just bring the one on my wrist.

At least there isn't a football game happening on the day of the show, which will make the trains and crowds more manageable. :)

I've an afternoon ticket, am driving up and can be there for a lunchtime meet.

I've yet to decide whether to book a hotel and stay overnight, which probably depends on the likelihood of continuing the meet in the evening.

Can't find any info on the ticketing site (but that doesn't mean that the info isn't there  )

Anyway - I have a ticket for the 2.30-5 session if anyone wants it - just be aware that you may have to transfer ownership and I'm not sure if that's possible.

Send me a PM is you want the ticket
Would love to take this ticket if still available!

Sorry to interrupt. I'm new to this forum and can't PM yet, tried to PM missF for that ticket.
Has anyone got a spare ticket or can PM missF on my behalf?
We have a group of 3 attending the event in the afternoon and looking to bring another friend.

Kind regards. Dan

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Please do introduce yourself in the Member Introduction section.

I believe that missF's spare ticket has already been taken.

Re sending PM's, you won't be able to until you have had at least 5 posts approved. However, in the meantime, you can use the forum email facility to contact other members.

I have a 'spare', but it is for the morning session.
It is yours if you want it.

We made it to the pub for pre show cocktails.

I know someone will ask who everyone is so from left to right it’s Steve @welshlad, Me, Paul @Dickchins, Tony @Tonywalker, and Guy @Bahnstormer_vRS

Here are my photos from the CW stand today.

I was quite surprised by the Luminaire although I know it’s not to everyone’s taste. Not sure I’d buy and think they would be perfect with proper hands and markers but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would

The bel canto was nice to see, I did like the new classic but again it’s not something I’d buy. The other colour is the dragonfly version which was available to buy on the day.

It was interesting to compare the 12 to my IWC, the skeleton titanium is quite hard to read the time on and I’m happy to stick with the integrated bracelet watch I already own.
