:) Why don’t they just book a suitably large venue in central London?

Much easier all round.

Your suspecting was correct, Iain.

I've received clarification this afternoon from Hamish that ". . .it is £12 for each session."

Right now I'm inclined to get a ticket for the later session. This will give me the opportunity of not having to get on the road at silly o'clock and maybe, depending on locations, do a bit of AD window shopping beforehand. Meet-up, drinks / meal afterwards.

I think the idea of a northern watch show is to have a show in the north. Having been born and lived in Manchester for the first 40+ yrs of my life, I have every confidence that if a bigger venue in Mcr should be required, one can be found👍

I’m happy to also get a ticket for the second session of the day. Tickets go on sale on Friday when the venue will also be announced. We’ve then got a couple of months to make arrangements to meet up and decide on food options.

Here’s the latest email about this event. I’ll be purchasing one ticket for the second session and hope to see some of you there. We can arrange pre and/or post event drinks later.

Here’s a link to the website of the venue.

I’ve bought my ticket for the 2.30 to 5.00 session now.

If you want to post if you’ve also bought tickets then we can get an idea of how many of us there is likely to be.

I've bought an afternoon ticket. Most factors are stacked against me being able to get there, but I'm hoping I might manage. The RedBar British watchmakers event last year was great, and the quality and energy of the brands on display was really high. Far more exciting than a trip to an AD :D

Given the state of E-W roads and public transport, it’s not practicable to get from Norfolk to Manchester and back in a day and attend a half-day event.

I'm not going to be able to make it to the Watch Show :( I'm not sure if my ticket is transferable to anyone else - I've contacted the organisers but haven't had a reply as yet. Can't find any info on the ticketing site (but that doesn't mean that the info isn't there  )

Anyway - I have a ticket for the 2.30-5 session if anyone wants it - just be aware that you may have to transfer ownership and I'm not sure if that's possible.

Send me a PM is you want the ticket

Is anyone else other than @welshlad, @Bahnstormer_vRS, or @Tonywalker planning to come to the show?

It’s about 6 weeks away so I am hoping to see what time everyone is planning to get to Manchester and whether you wanted food and/or drinks before or after the show.

Let me know your thinking and what your preferences are and I can look to suggest somewhere to meet up. I doubt we’ll find anywhere suitable for showing off a watch collection in the city centre on a Saturday, so I was only planning to bring the watch I’ll be wearing.

I’ll be travelling by train to avoid the hassle of parking and it will also allow me to have a drink.

Once I know who is coming I’ll take discussions on our meeting arrangements to private messages but just posting here to give anyone who’s not spoken up the chance to join in the fun.
