Linkin park

Post by golfjunky »

Horrible to hear that the lead singer Chester Bennington has taken his life. The music was and is awesome and made up a huge amount of my teenage years

Very sad, and so soon after (and on what would have been the birthday of!) Chris Cornell.

I remember Linkin Park, Soundgarden and similar CDs frequently being played in my 6th form common room back last century.

A tremendous voice silenced. For a man that could scream like almost no other, he had an incredible range:

Not my genre of choice so not heard of Chester and Linkin Park until now.

Having watched a couple of videos, clearly the sad loss of a talented person.

Went off the band with their later stuff and was disgusted when they got greedy resulting in a company that helped them get famous ceasing to trade because they cut them out, but still sad news. As is so often the case those with 'everything' are no happier than us with 'little' while those with 'nothing' walk hundreds of miles to get water and don't have time to get depressed. It's a strange world...

I have to say I've not heard of him or the band.

Always sad though when someone's life ends like this.

He left behind 6 children. How selfish of him. His poor family. I couldn't imagine leaving my kids without me to make it through this world alone.
