On board with this. There's plenty of folk who are watch enthusiasts for whom JLC is aspirational, almost as much for their place in the pantheon as for the actual watches. The Watchmaker's Watchmaker and all that. Watches that are saved for, something special, not just bought as a nice luxury trinket out of spare change.
The latter group don't care, but that's (apparently) who JLC cares about more...

No. They knocked the aspiration right out of it. Makes me a bit sad. It's OK, I'll get over it, buy a nice CW and really enjoy it
