I like the look of Moorcroft pottery. We bought a lovely lamp from them when we passed Stoke on the way back from a holiday break a couple of years ago.
I was looking at their website and noticed they had a quartz clock on offer. I was going to buy it, but then it went back to full price, but it looks like they list other styles occasionally. So one popped up yesterday, and I bought it. I just looked to check the listing, but it's showing out of stock now. Worth a look at the website if you like the style of the pottery. The website is quite hard to navigate.
This sort of thing. This is the first one that I missed.

Re: incoming ... sort of
That’s a fine acquisition, Dave. I know exactly where Moorcroft is; I grew up near the southern end of the city but had a girlfriend who lived near there, so I was always cycling up there.
Not quite my thing, though. Although I appreciate the charm and workmanship of good painted Staffordshire pieces, I grew up surrounded by it; my mother, grandmother and almost everyone we knew had china cabinets full of the stuff, so I rebelled. Apart from a couple of pieces that were my mother’s favourites, and a set of Wedgwood Florentine dinner plates, most of my pottery at home is utilitarian, rustic and mismatched. When my mother died I let family members and friends take the pieces they wanted, and sold the rest to a dealer. The pieces I kept were taken for sentimental value, but I can’t say I’m especially fond of them.
Anyway, that’s just me. This is clearly something you like and appreciate so I hope you really enjoy it, and maybe we can have a photo of the lamp and clock together.

^^^^ Surely there's bound to be stock available within the retail system. Just, sadly, no more new stuff coming out; until somebody buys the rights to use the name and resurrects the firm.

Maybe it will come, but there's no "closing down sale" on the site
There might not be too much finished stock. A lot will be unfired/undecorated, and will most likely have to be scrapped. Alternatively, maybe they are trying to find someone to buy it as a going concern.
