Kip,
Colleen and I are very sorry for your loss. Take comfort in the knowledge that you provided a loving, safe home for Snap, and because of you he had a happy worry-free life.

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thank you so much Lavaine for this beautiful story.....My dear wife says Thanks you too.

I confess it brought tears to our eyes.

A very sincere Thank You to everyone for your condoleneces.

This is not the first pet that we have lost nor, regrettably, it will not be the last. It is just never easy to lose a beloved family member.

As a fan of rescue animals we have had more than our share of family members come and go under a variety of circumstances. We take great solace in the fact that we have helped provide them with a caring and safe haven for the balance of their lives. They give unconditional love and joy in return...... who could ask for more.

Thank You.
Kip

I read that holding my Phoebe's paw and thinking about my dearly departed number one son, Leo, who died a few months ago. I don't think we ever get over losing them just you don't cry quite so often and remember them as they were when young and fit.

Even having a youngster in the house doesn't detract from the pain or their memory but it does distract you somewhat. Rest in peace little moggy.

Sorry for your loss. Pets, especially cats and dogs, do become very dear to us, and losing them is indeed like losing a member of the family.

Very sorry to hear of your sad loss.

Pets can give you so much pleasure and soon become one of the family. It is always hard when they leave us.

Kip,

It is always sad when a pet dies. They are like family members. He obviously had a good life with you.
