Hello all again...

So I do need surgery and am on the 'urgent' list. This should be within the next 4 weeks.

2-4 hour operation followed by a 5 days hospital then followed by 3 months ish recovery......apparently not as simple a simple drain.....damn.

Here is the REAL picture of me. The big white bit at the top of my neck should not be there, in fact part of my brain should be occupying that bit but has been pushed out of the way. Something a little more complex is the white stuff in my spine (Sphinx!!! The consultant called) should not be there either!

Hope is removal/drain of cyst will help...........

Thanks again for all your kind words.

To bad that surgery is required, but at least it still sounds fixable. Take it easy and follow your doctors advice.

Know that you have the thoughts and prayers of everyone here.

Best wishes for the operation. Looking at the scan it's no wonder you were/are getting headaches.

My first thought on seeing that image was, Oh my goodness. Thankfully, the prognosis seems good. Sending you very best wishes for a successful outcome and a swift recovery.

well...now then moi two pennies worth.....

It's a Snicket not a ginnal ........(my wife is from Sheffield....).....funny thing about a ginnal is that if you spell check it...it comes up with a female body part!

Being ill does not get you a discount on any watches you may want to buy from the sales corner!

Glad it's not my head....as if something was as bad as yours....my brain is so small it might not have noticed!

My wife gives me a head ache.....is there an operation I can have for that?

On a more serious point, I am thinking of you and your family, and hope all will be Ok once your treatment is sorted! :D
