I'm very glad you're back and I can associate with some of what you say. Welcome back XT and thank you for the thought provoking reintroduction.

I think I suffer a milder form of what you have described but I have channelled my inner geek into creating ever more complex and fiendish spreadsheets (now a database) to record budget, spend, complications, features, accuracy tests and the like. It focusses the mind on money and distracts me from spending.

I too have kept my watch related New Year resolution - I have worn a different watch every day so far, freeing some watches from weeks or months or imprisonment - and still have a week and a bit to go.

I'm glad to have you back.
